Questions people ask
Is Hotpoly only for couples?
No. Individuals, couples and whole polycules are welcome. Solo poly, relationship anarchy, hierarchical, kitchen-table and parallel are all first-class profile options, and linking your profile to a partner’s is optional.
Is it a hookup app?
No. Hotpoly is a dating and connection app for polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous people. You say what you’re seeking on your profile, matching is a mutual opt-in so nobody can message you until you both say yes, and every member agrees to the Acceptable Use Policy. Why is there no iPhone app?
Apple is restricting new dating apps. On iPhone and iPad, Hotpoly installs from Safari instead: open hotpoly.org, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. It runs full-screen, supports notifications, and uses the same account and features as the Android app.
What does Premium add?
Hotpoly is free to use: creating a profile, discovery, matching and messaging cost nothing. Premium lets you see who likes your pictures, enables Smart Sort which prioritizes profiles which are more likely to match with you, and adds the ID Verified badge and weekly Temporary Location changes, for $9.99/month on the web or $12.99/month in the Android app. Cancel anytime.
Does Hotpoly work outside the United States?
Not yet. Profile location is a US ZIP code, so you need to be in the United States to set up a profile. Hotpoly is US-only for now.
How are members verified?
Everyone verifies they are 18 or older before they can use Hotpoly. Photo verification goes further: Didit verifies a government ID, AI compares the verified ID to a selfie, and AI then compares that selfie to your profile photos. In other words, verified profile photos are based on government ID without us keeping your ID.
